Frequently Asked Questions
What size is this hybrid single mattress?
It is a 3ft single, about 90 x 190cm. It fits any standard single frame, divan or ottoman bed built for that size. Measure the inside of your frame before ordering, and allow a small gap so the mattress can sit flat.
What is a coil spring and memory foam mattress?
The base is a coil spring unit that provides support and airflow, with a memory foam layer on top for comfort. You get the lift of a spring mattress with some of the pressure relief of foam.
Is it a good single bed mattress for everyday use?
Yes. Medium comfort and a balanced build make it suitable for nightly use by teenagers and adults, as well as for guest rooms. A spring core adds support and a memory foam layer adds cushioning. Comfort is personal, so check the product page for details.
How firm is this mattress?
It sits around medium. The springs keep it supportive and the foam layer takes the edge off, so it is neither hard nor overly soft. If you prefer a firmer or plusher feel, compare other single mattresses in our range.
Will it fit a bunk or cabin bed?
Check your bed's maximum mattress depth before ordering. Hybrid single mattresses are often deeper than bunk guard rails allow, so look at the depth on the product page and follow the bed manufacturer's guidance for bunks and cabin beds.
Does it sleep hot?
The spring core lets air move through the mattress, which usually helps it sleep cooler than an all-foam design. Breathable bedding makes a further difference, as does a ventilated room. The foam layer can still hold some warmth, so comfort varies between sleepers.
Can I use it on a slatted bed?
Yes. Slats should be close together, no more than about 7cm apart, so the base supports the mattress evenly. Check your frame's instructions and make sure the slats are in good condition, flat and firmly fixed.
Is it good value compared with a cheap single mattress?
It costs more than a basic budget mattress because it has a spring core and foam comfort layer. For the lowest prices, see our cheap mattresses collection. Compare depth, firmness and construction to choose a single that suits you.
How do I care for it?
Rotate head to foot every few months, keep the base supportive and ventilated, and air the room regularly. Spot clean spills with mild soap and a damp cloth, and let the mattress dry fully. Avoid soaking it.
How long should it last?
With care and regular rotation, several years. Replace it if it sags, develops lumps or stops feeling supportive. Lifespan depends on use, sleeper weight and care, so take this as a general guide rather than a guarantee.
